Tournament Awards Based on 100 Teams, Optional Jackpots Based on 60 Teams

Tournament Cash Prizes
Winners will be awarded their prizes on the basis of heaviest marlin caught, determined by weight only (minimum weight of 165 pounds). Only striped marlin weighing 165-pounds or more shall qualify in the tournament. Based on the minimum weight of 165-pounds the Tournament has set an official length of 84 inches, measured from the lower lip (with the mouth closed) to the fork in the tail, as a standard to be used. A penalty for weighing undersize fish will be assessed. For each fish weighing less than the minimum 165-pounds, a penalty of 15 pounds will be deducted from the weight of the largest qualifying fish weighed by the team for the Tournament’s First through Fourth place cash prizes. However, if the fish meets or exceeds the 84-inch length there will be no penalty points if the fish actually weighs less that the minimum 165-pounds. A single team can claim only one of the Tournaments First through Fourth Place "Cash Prize Places." In the event of a tie, places involved will divide prizes evenly. All cash prizes are based on a 100-team quota. Should there be more or less teams all cash prizes will be adjusted accordingly.

Optional Daily Jackpots
Optional Daily Jackpot entry fee categories of $250, $500, $1,000 and $2,000 per day are available to interested teams. Daily Jackpots pay 85% of the gross daily entry fees back to the winners of the respective categories. The Optional Daily Jackpots are a winner-take-all format with a minimum qualifying weight of 165-pounds. Daily Jackpot prizes will roll forward and backward if there are no qualifying fish weighed on one or more days by a Daily Jackpot entrant. Example: If on the first day of fishing no qualifying fish are weighed to claim one or more of the Daily Jackpots then the prize or prizes will roll forward to the second day and will be added to that days respective Daily Jackpot prizes. If the Daily Jackpot prizes are claimed on the first day of the Tournament but not the second day, the prizes will roll backward to the team or teams, which claimed the prizes on the first day. Penalty points assessed for weighing an undersize fish on the second day of fishing will not affect a team's Daily Jackpot winnings on the first day of fishing. Once a Daily Jackpot prize has been earned it can not be lost by earning penalty points for weighing an undersize fish on a different day. However, a team which weighs a qualifying fish and an undersized fish on the same day shall have any penalty points deducted from the weight of their qualifying fish in determining any Daily Jackpot winnings on that day.

Optional Daily Release Jackpot
Optional Daily Release Jackpot entry fee categories of $500 and $1,000 per day are available to interested teams. Daily Release Jackpots pay 85% of the gross daily entry fees back to the winners of the respective categories. The Optional Daily Release Jackpots are a winner-take-all format determined by the total number of verified releases per participating team per day. In case of a tie between two or more entered teams, the Optional Daily Release Jackpot winner will be decided (broken) based on the earliest time of day the teams involve reached their respective release totals. Daily Release Jackpot prizes will roll forward and backward if there are no verified releases on one or more days by a Daily Release Jackpot entrant. Example: If on the first day of fishing no fish are released to claim one or more of the Daily Release Jackpots then the prize or prizes will roll forward to the second day and will be added to that days respective Daily Release Jackpot prizes. If the Daily Release Jackpot prizes are claimed on the first day of the Tournament but not the second day, the prizes will roll backward to the team or teams, which claimed the prizes on the first day. Penalty points assessed for weighing an undersize fish on the second day of fishing will not affect a team's Daily Release Jackpot winnings from the first day of fishing. Once a Daily Release Jackpot prize has been earned it cannot be lost by weighing an undersize fish on a different day. However, any team that weighs an undersized fish will forfeit any Daily Release Jackpot winnings for that day.
